Belly Cast Body Project “Love Your Body”
As a collective we gathered together to create stories and art to reflect the importance of women and their changing bodies. One of our collaborators, a professional birthing therapist, taught workshops that helped bring awareness to the mortality rates among women of color. We selected several to-be-mothers and paired them with local female artists to created pieces that showcased in a gallery. The project and story was shared as a Mothers Day special on NBC Channel 12 in Phoenix AZ.
