Blue Bird Sunflowers

The blue bird of the Blue Bird flour brand is an iconic symbol to some tribal members due to the use of it in our frybread recipes. It represent home cooking and traditional ingredients that our grandmothers use and stand by. But, paradoxically, represents the complexities of colonialism and Food Sovereignty as Decolonization. In this graphics I wanted to focus on the positives of this symbol and the people we are. These are available as 4"x6" greeting cards.
